Changing Futures Through Opportunities in Music
Outstanding Arts and Cultural Award Finalists
Be part of something amazing! Join our existing team of committed, friendly volunteers and chaperones, without whom BAYC simply could not run.
Our choir can only be the accessible choir we want it to be, if we can grow. For more children to join the choir, we need adult volunteers who can take on a variety of roles during rehearsals and concerts.
Maybe you are a parent of a child in BAYC? Or a music student looking for experience in running choirs and vocal tuition? Or someone who just wants the rewarding experience of watching children work together, develop friendships, and produce incredible music.
Volunteers receive:
-
a free BAYC T-shirt
-
free training and development opportunities
-
a free ID badge and lanyard
-
a free enhanced DBS check
-
everything that comes with being part of an energetic, passionate team who support young people to shine.
It doesn't matter how much time you can offer, or what your skills are. Some of our Volunteers support weekly rehearsals, others work at our concerts or public events, or with background tasks. Some offer technical support with sound and lighting, others provide admin support or organise fundraising or social events. We value all of our Volunteers and we'd love to meet you and hear about your skills.
We take safeguarding very seriously. All volunteers will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (provided by BAYC at no cost to the volunteer) and will be required to sign and adhere to our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. Check out our Safety page for more information on how we look after our young people.
