Outstanding Arts and Cultural Award Finalists
Our singers' welfare is the very highest of our priorities. You can be sure that every young person will be cared for and safe during rehearsals and events with BAYC.
We will look after their physical and emotional well-being - nothing is more important. BAYC is a place you can feel safe, in every sense of the word. We are confident that all of our singers and their families will tell you the same.
You can read more about what our singers, volunteers and parents think of being part of BAYC on our Testimonials page.
SAFE PEOPLE:
All staff hold enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks. Many are also licensed Chaperones. We are trained in Paediatric First Aid, First Aid at Work, and Child Protection.
SAFE PLACES:
We ensure high levels of staffing ratios and supervision at all times. We risk assess every venue and event, keeping child well-being at the centre of all decisions.
SAFE BEHAVIOUR:
All choir members are expected to treat each other with respect. We encourage peer support and strong friendships. All choir members sign our Code of Conduct.
Members can access all of our Policies and Procedures, including our Risk Assessments, on the members' area of the website. And just ask if you'd like to see any of our Training Certificates. We are always happy to share any documents that relate to the safety of you or your child.
